She was born in Eau Claire on January 15, 1939 to
Charles and Agnes (Inabnit) Henning. She was united in marriage
with Roger Kruger on February 4, 1961. They resided near Cleghorn
for most of their 50 years of marriage. To this union two
daughters and one son were born. She loved her family with all her
heart.
She grew up and attended school in Eleva and shortly after
graduating, she started her career at Sacred Heart Hospital for
the next 47 years where she acquired many friendships. She helped
deliver, feed and diaper many babies; some of which even came back
to have their own babies which she also cared for. She, then,
moved to the physical therapy and rehab floor until her
retirement. If it was her weekend to work, she attended Sunday
Mass at the Chapel before her shift began. She became very close
with Father Klimek. |

She lived a very happy and hard working life and found joy especially being in her garden. She and Roger planted large gardens and sold vegetables at the Eau Claire Farmers Market for over 25 years and met many wonderful people there. She loved the simple things in life and her other hobbies were embroidering, sewing, baking, canning, and making her famous jams and jellies. She pleased everyone at Thanksgiving by making his or her favorite pies.
She is survived by her husband Roger of 50 years, their three children, Mary Jo Norby (John) of Eleva, Steven Kruger of Brackett and Jina Brantner (Steven) of Durand; five grandchildren, Kasandra Kruger-Janezic, Katie (Layne) Boldon, and Megan, Leeza and Lucas Norby. She is also survived by her mother, Agnes Henning, and her sister, Doris Mai (Richard), and seven nieces and nephew and their children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henning; brother, LaVerne “Bud” Henning; mother-in-law, Mary Kruger Lange; and her daughter-in-law, Shari Kruger.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Monsignor Edmund Klimek and Sister Monica Mai for their prayers and support during her final days. Her faith in God carried her throughout her whole life until the end.
