Rex Gustav Krull age 93, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning September 14, 2011 at Dove Healthcare South in Eau Claire after a short but courageous battle with cancer passed.

Born in Birnamwood, Wisconsin on June 23, 1918, he was blessed with a long, full life which we all were privileged to be a part of & will always cherish.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather & great grandpa who provided many wonderful memories, including his treasured poems, & he will be missed by all. Survivors include: his beloved wife of 24 years, Ila Mae
Kjelstad, his son, Tom ( Dottie) Krull, his daughter Mary( Jerry) Thompson, as well as Ila Mae's children Kerry (Deb) & Kurt (Ruth Ann) Kjelstad and Karen (Ron)
Schroepfer. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren & 11 ½ Great Grandchildren, who were so blessed to have many wonderful memories with their extra special grandpa. Rex made such a big impact on thousands of kids' lives throughout his 93 years. Everyone who knew Rex respected & loved him. We are honored to have such a loving, caring man be such a big part of our lives. |

Rex's long working career included professional baseball player, teacher, coach, policeman, school superintendent, & many part time jobs where he could continue to help & interact with children & people of all ages including school bus driver, bar tender & even supermarket extraordinaire into his 90's
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701. Pastor Scott Miller of First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire will officiate. Visitation will take place at the funeral home Saturday morning an hour prior to the services.
He will be buried beside his first love & wife, Ruth, of 35 years, with
Committal services taking place at 4 pm Saturday afternoon in the Memorial Cemetery in Lac Du Flambeau.
