   Margareth E. Ludvigson , age 93 of Eau Claire passed away Tuesday evening September 20, 2011 at Milestone Senior Living. 
 
Margareth was born December 21, 1917 in Bloomer, WI to John and Regina ( Konechney ) Rauscher . She graduated from Bloomer High School with the class of 1936. Margareth married Rodger W. Ludvigson on May 24, 1945 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire , WI . She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital where she started in April of 1936 as an office worker and later became the Director of Medical Records. In 1946, she left to be with her family and returned in October of 1950. She retired May 31, 1984 after 34 years of continuous service as the p.m. Supervisor of Patient Accounting Department. 
   

Margareth loved flowers and gardening. She always had a large flower and vegetable garden. She loved shopping and had many shoes, bags, clothes and pieces of jewelry to show for it. 
 
After retirement, she worked as a volunteer at the St. Francis Food Pantry and served on the Board of Directors. Margareth was a past member of the Chippewa Valley Museum, member of Lay Association of St. Francis and a member of Homemakers at the Chippewa Valley Technical College. 
 
Margareth is survived by: daughter Patricia (Michael) Strassman and grandchildren, Brian Strassman , Erica Strassman and Aaron Strassman ; daughter, Susan Palmer and grandchildren, Sarah Kelly, Rachael (Andres) Kelly-Marcus, Ryan Kelly and Susan's step-sons, Rob (Rose) Palmer and their daughter, Taylor, and Charles Palmer; brother, William (Nona) Rauscher ; sisters-in-laws, Shirley Rauscher, Nancy Rauscher, and Joan (Norman) Schnagl ; and many nieces, nephews and their families. 
 
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Rodger in 1974; brothers, Robert Rauscher, John Rauscher, Francis Rauscher ; sisters, Evelyn Rauscher, Helen Lebeis, Lorraine Haugen, and Mary Rauscher ; sister-in-law, Lavinia Rauscher ; son-in-law, Robert Palmer; and special friend, Lawrence Schmitz. 
 
A special thank you to Kelly and the staff of Milestone Senior Living, MC for the good care she received during the time she lived there. Thank you to Mayo Clinic Health Systems Home Hospice for her end of life care and to Dr. Akfaly for his care. 
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Margareth's name to the American Cancer Society, 2519 N. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, WI 54720 or charity of one's choice are preferred. 
 
Funeral services for Margareth will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Fuller-Speckien-Hulke Funeral Home (3209 Rudolph Rd., Eau Claire) with Father John Schultz officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
