Gordon was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and ushered in the early service for many years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #53 from post war service to the present. Gordon loved his life in Eau Claire and was an avid golfer and was on many bowling teams. He was a sports enthusiast and especially loved family times together. Many summers were spent at a cottage in northern Wisconsin with other family members, fishing and boating and just being together.
He will be remembered as a great friend who was always there to help others. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Michael) Berg of Hudson, MA and Sally (Gary) Peterson of Blaine, MN. He was blessed to be the grandfather of 4 wonderful grandchildren, Aaron (Amy) Berg of Littleton, CO; Naomi (Jonathan) Gulliver of Lancaster, MA; Andrew (Sarah) Berg of Helena, MT; and Leah (Stephen) Santos of Clinton, MA; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his wonderful younger brother, Norman Miller of El Paso, TX, and many close relatives and friends. Gordon was preceded in death by his first wife, Lauretta, who he will be laid to rest next too, second wife, Jacqueline, and third wife, Lilah.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at the Sterling House Assisted Living in Blaine, MN and to the Hospice Care team from Allina Home and Community Services who all gave so much time and love in caring for Gordon as he began his journey home to Heaven.
Your family will love and miss you as we hold you in our hearts forever.
