Lillian was a rock solid Christian Lady. She welcomed everyone into her home with a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye. She always made sure you didn't leave hungry. Her words were, " Well you know .... you gotta eat something". She was a caretaker for many of her family members.
She loved to sew, embroider, bake and cook. She made many of her children's clothing in her early years. Her pastime was listening to Gospel music and The Gaithers. She also made sure that her family knew how to make lefse. An annual lefse making day was scheduled every fall. All the girls in the family were to attend. She taught us every step to lefse making right down to the proper way to cool it and wrap it. She was very particular and doing it the wrong way was not allowed. She would correct us so bad habits weren't formed.
Survivors include her daughters La Vonne (Roger) Turk of Eleva, where she resided for the last eight years, La Rayne (Steve) Gospodar of Eau Claire ; her sons La Verre (Rose) of Eau Claire, La Roy (Beth) of Eau Claire and La Gene of Eleva. She had 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceding Lillian in death are her parents, her husband Henry, sons La Verne and La Moine, her brothers Clarence, Harry (Violet) and sisters and brothers in laws Selma (Arnold) Oium, Helma (Herbert) Brixon, Esther (Raymond) Nichols and Rosella (Duane) Stenseth.
