   Harley Prell was born March 25, 1921, in Cumberland, WI to Jason and Freda (Bentzine) Prell. He became a child of God and heir of eternal life through the rite of Holy Baptism as an infant. He later professed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior through the rite of Confirmation at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cumberland. Harley graduated from Cumberland High School in 1938 and attended business college in Minneapolis, MN following graduation. He pursued a career in sales prior to entering the Army Air Force for the duration of World War II. After the war, Harley went to work in the dairy farming industry and spent time as a Postmaster in New Richmond, Wisconsin under President Eisenhower and Governor Warren Knowles. In 1977 Harley and his wife Sharon established "Cemetery Memorials". This proved to be a successful endeavor that they managed for the rest of his career. Sharon is continuing to operate "Cemetery Memorials" going forward. Harley was an active member of various veterans' organizations. Now Harley has been transferred to the glory of the Christian Church in heaven. Harley went home to be with Jesus on March 1st, 2011.
   

Harley's passing from this life leaves the following to mourn his loss but to celebrate his entrance into eternal life: his wife Sharon, his daughter, Cheryl, his brother Russell (Veronica) of Eau Claire. In addition Harley leaves 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
 
Harley was preceded in death by his son Harley Jr., Brother Jack, Sisters Mary Anne and Iris.
 
Services for Harley were held earlier in the week. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Memorial Services will take place at 2 pm on Monday March 7, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 743 22 1/2 Avenue, Cumberland, WI 54829. Rev. John Miels will officiate. 
 
Friends may visit at the church on Monday 2 hours prior to the service. Harley was in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Military Honors will be conducted at the church by American Legion Post #98. Burial will be at a later date in the Lakeside Cemetery. 
 
Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, WI 54701 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
