   Kathryn "Kay" Mae Reifenauer, age 92 of Eau Claire passed away Wednesday June 8, 2011 at The Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Eau Claire. 
 
Kay was born to Lawrence and Olianna (Johnson) Johnson in Roskus Valley , Trempealeau County, Wisconsin on April 7, 1919. She went to Strum School through the 11th grade and finished at Mondovi High School. Kay worked at Goodwin Anderson’s grocery store in Eleva, then, at the ordinance plant in Chippewa during World War II. She worked in the office at Penny’s for 25 years.
 
Kay married Mel Reifenauer on May 10, 1969. Kay and Mel spent many happy years together. She enjoyed making ceramics, doing embroidery, and making small rugs.
   

She is survived by her brother Ray (Betty) Johnson. Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Mel Reifenauer, her parents and 3 brothers, Leonard, Wallace and William.
 
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Chapel Heights United Methodist Church , 300 E. Hamilton Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Visitation will be at the church Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Pastor Cheryl Miskimen will officiate. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington at 1:30 p.m., Saturday afternoon. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckienhulke.com. 
 
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be designated in Kay’s name to Chapel Heights United Methodist Church, 300 E. Hamilton Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin. 
 
The family would like to thank The Clairemont Nursing Home, Dr. Casper and Pam Baril, her guardian, for their excellent care.
