Alex G. Scott, age 74, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire after a short battle with cancer.
He was born on Jan 9, 1937, in Dayton, OH, the son of Roy and Grace (Titcombe) Malpass. Alex was united in marriage to his loving wife Terri, on April 24,1996. Together they shared 15 wonderful years.

Alex served his country honorably as a U.S. Air Force mechanic at both Chanute AFB in Rantoul, Il and Truax Field in Madison. He worked for the Mobile station on Pflaum Rd in Madison, WI DOT, Eau Claire City Transit Company and Chippewa Falls Handicap Transit. Alex enjoyed being with family, fishing, playing cards and driving his 1992 mustang. He was an assistant Chaplin for Grace Foundation and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
Alex is survived by his wife Terri and his children, Terri (John) Moore, Tom (Eileen) Hamilton, Sherri (Steve) O'Connor, Rick (Lea) Scott, Diane (Steve) Attoe and Tim Hamilton and stepchildren, Robert Horswill, Jean (Angel) Alcantar, Peggy Hultquist, Jim Stanton and Dan (Gina) Stanton. He was blessed to be the grandfather to 19 beautiful grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother Roy Lawson. He was preceded in death by his sister Grace Winter and his parents. |

A Christian service and celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W. Grand Ave., Eau Claire officiated by Pastor Rolf Nestingen. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. prior to the start of the service. Alex will be honored for his military service with a 21-gun salute being rendered by American Legion Post #53 following the memorial service at the church.

Although Alex is gone, he will continue to live on in our hearts.
