Inez Evelyn Severson, age 94 of Eau Claire passed away Sunday August 28, 2011 at The Clairemont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Eau Claire.
Inez was born June 4, 1917 in Rock Falls, WI to William "Wilson" and Pearl (Brownell) Wheeler. She married Earl Severson on September 1, 1940.
Inez and Earl built a home on Welch Drive in Eau Claire overlooking Dells Pond in 1949. They enjoyed hunting and fishing trips to northern Wisconsin. Earl passed away in 1958. Inez worked in assembly and inspections for Presto in Eau Claire for 20 years. In 1960, she graduated from Cosmetology school in Eau Claire. Inez and a partner built Fay's Beauty Castle on Hastings Way. When she retired, she was the co-owner and operating manager. |

Inez was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Everett (Caryville) and sister Violet (Art)
Fosberg. Nephews, Robert Doughty and Don (Inez Schmer) Fosberg, and niece, Valley Arlene (Melvin)
Sockness.
She is survived by her sister, Algie (Roy) Doughty of Durand. Nephews and Nieces: Dallas (Judith Simons) Doughty Yakima, Washington; Audrey (Bill) Haversock, Shakopee, MN; Norma (Steve Howarth) Bilderback, Eau Claire; Dennis Doughty, Chippewa Falls; Emmet (Barb Snider) Doughty, Bay City; Gayle (Warren) Schmitt, North Branch, MN; John Doughty, Arkansaw; Dana Luther, Durand; and Jeff (Dayna Hutter) Doughty, Arkansaw.
Funeral Services will be take place at 11 am on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church, 2226 Eddy Lane, Eau Claire, WI 54703. Pastor Randy Olson will officiate. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday morning from 10 am until the time of services. Friends may offer condolences online at www.fullerspeckienhulke.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Inez's name to Hope Lutheran Church.
