SSG Michael T. Trautman 43, of Eau Claire, WI passed
away Friday, Jan 14, 2011 at his home under the care of St.
Joseph's Hospice.
Funeral Services will take place at 11 am on Thursday January 20,
2011 at Peace Lutheran Church, 501 E. Fillmore Street, Eau Claire,
WI 54701. Pastor Mark Schulz will officiate. Burial with military
honors provided by the 32nd Brigade will take place on Friday
January 21, 2011 at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial
Cemetery near Spooner. The committal services will take place on Friday January 21, 2011 at 1 pm at the NWVMC on Hwy 53 near Spooner.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday evening at
Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home from 4-8 pm. The final role
call will take place at 8:15 pm at the funeral home to conclude
the evening visitation. Visitation will continue Thursday morning
at the the church from 10 am until the time of services. |

Michael was born in Winona, MN in 1967 to Thomas and Mary (Przytarski)
Trautman. He attended Ortonville High School where he graduated in
1986. He enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard before transferring
to the Wisconsin National Guard in 1989. He was hired as a Federal
Civil Service Technician in May of 1998. His tenure of service was
marked by an expert knowledge to which many in the WIARNG sought his
advice, three promotions and an award for excellence and an
unparalleled compassion to the soldiers and civilians with whom he
served. He served a total of 25 years.
Mike married the love of his life Raquel Vogel on May 8, 1999.
Michael is survived by his wife Raquel of Eau Claire. His father Thomas (Kimberlee) Trautman of Marysville, CA; three brothers Anthony Trautman of Winona, MN; Robert (Tasha) Trautman of LaCrosse, WI, Brian (Brandi) Trautman of Winona, MN. a niece Shelby Trautman; grandmother Beverly Przytarski of Galeville, WI. Step brothers Adam & Colby Reusser of Marysville, CA. Father in law Carl C. Vogel of Winona, WI; mother in law Kathy A. Latch of Eau Claire, WI; sister in law Erin M Schwager. He is preceded in death by his mother Mary Trautman.
