Irene O. Waak, age 95, passed away Thursday morning, May 12, 2011 at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church , 1804 Highland Avenue in Eau Claire. Pastor Jack Olson is officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Friends may leave online condolences at

Irene was born January 9, 1916 to Theodore and Ida (Rosentrater) Kinderman in the Town of Wilson. She married Edward Waak on November 12, 1935 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was employed by JC Penney's for many years. She also enjoyed fishing and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. |

Survivors include: her son, Ronald Waak of Hayward ; a grandson, Jon (Anita) of Apple Valley , MN ; granddaughter, Stephanie ( Donnetto ) DeAntoni of St. Michael, MN; 3 great granddaughters: Alicia and Kaylee DeAntoni, and Anna Waak; step great granddaughter, Abigail Heinsch ; brother, Ralph Kinderman; and sister, Virginia Knutson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; brothers, Gus, Clarence, Edwin, Ervin, Lawrence, Arnold and Harlan Kinderman; sisters, Adline Kinderman and Wilma Hoolbrock; and daughter-in-law, Darlene M. (Peterson) Waak who passed away January 19, 1982.
