Sylvia Ann Willette, 73 of Chippewa Falls, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls surrounded by her family.
She was born September 5, 1935 in Stanley, the daughter of Leon Lussenden and Violet (Hatfield) McBride. She attended Brownsville School in Anson and Chippewa Falls High School.
Sylvia married Robert L. Willette on October 17, 1958 at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to spend time with them all.
She is survived by: her four daughters, Suzanne Huck of Elk Mound, Cynthia Mayer of Chippewa Falls, Barbara Heller of Altoona and Deborah Willette of Monticello, MN; three sisters, Sonia Root (her twin) of Neenah, Bernadine (Jim) Kelly of East Troy and Donna Taylor of IN; four brothers, Delbert (Delores) Lussenden of
Withee, Dale (Alice) Lussenden of CA, Jerry (Mary Ann) Lussenden of FL and Edgar (Linda) McBride of CA; 11 grandchildren, Dawn
Ottman, James (Heidi) Ottman, Sean Ottman, Steven Bowe, Jeremy
Ottman, Johnathon, Matthew and Angela Mayer, Deana (Bryan)
Stadtmueller, Gregory and Benjarmin Heller; 11 great grandchildren; and her best friends Beverly and Duane Hager of Chippewa Falls. |
Sylvia was preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Willette; one son, Thomas “Butch” Melberg; her parents; one sister, Beverly Ortiz; and two brothers, Thomas in infancy and David Lussenden.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Arul Joseph will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial of Cremains will be in Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 11, and until 10 a.m. Friday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. The Holy Ghost P.C.C.W. will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. and there will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. both Thursday at the funeral home.
