Clarence L. Bowe, 90, of 12247
State Hwy 124, Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died
Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the Maplewood Nursing Home in
Bloomer.
He was born December 12, 1918 in the town of Eagle Point, the
son of Herman and Theresa (Dachel) Bowe.
He attended St. Charles Grade School and Chippewa Falls High
School. He attended Farm Short Course in Madison. He hauled
milk for the Eagleton Creamery. He was active in the A.S.C.
board for 25 years. He lived and farmed in Eagle Point all of
his life.
Clarence married Albina Tichey on October 25, 1941 at St.
Charles Church, Chippewa Falls. They would have been married
68 years on Sunday.
He was a member of Notre Dame Church.
Clarence is survived by: his wife, Albina; one son, Jeffrey (Cindy) of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Diana (Bob) Torkelson of Eau Claire, Vicki (Mike) Brown and Linda (Dave) Dresel both of Chippewa Falls; one daughter-in-law, Judith Bowe of Chippewa Falls; four sisters, Elizabeth (Lyle) Norquist of Chippewa Falls, Alice Zwiefelhofer of Jim Falls, Mary Ann Whelan and Charlotte (Howard) Prince both of Eau Claire; one sister-in-law, Dorothy
Bowe; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. |
He was preceded in death by: one son, David Bowe; his parents; two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Bowe; two sisters, Angeline Halmstad and Bernice LeMay; and four brothers-in-law, Jim Whelan, Carl LeMay, Harry Halmstad and Jerome "Crackers" Zwiefelhofer.
We wish to thank the Maplewood Nursing Home staff for his wonderful care, Dr. Gladitsch and Dr. Larson of Bloomer Medical Center and also Northwest Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brian J. Jazdzewski will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 23, and until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
