Karen A. Geissler, 69, of 11014 Cty. Hwy B, Chippewa Falls, town of Tilden, died Monday, December 7, 2009 at her residence.
She was born July 16, 1940 in the town of Pleasant Valley, Wis., the daughter of Vilas and Susana (Hanson) Baker.
Karen married Gerald Geissler on November 3, 1962 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire.
She worked as a sales clerk in the Men's Department at Farm & Fleet.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church and the Christian Mother's Society.
Karen is survived by: her husband, Gerald; two sons, Randy (Peggy) Geissler of Chippewa Falls and Rick (Kelly) Geissler of Milwaukee; three daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Bremness and Sherry (Brian) Petrich both of Chippewa Falls and Kari (Mike) McDonald of Barron; one brother, Bob (Shirley) Baker of Eau Claire; two sisters, Cheryl Fleming of Wascott, Wis. and Bonnie (Roger) Winter of La Crosse, Wis.; her aunt, Gladys E. Hanson of Eau Claire; and 8 grandchildren, Danielle Geissler, Katerina, Brandon and Trenton Petrich, Mackenzie and Grace Geissler, and Ariella and Aalayah McDonald.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Donnie Baker; and one brother-in-law, Tim Fleming.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at St. Peter's Church, town of Tilden. Rev. William P. Felix will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Tilden.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, and until 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
