Robert W. "Sam" Hall, 86, a resident of the Rutledge Home Assisted Living & Memory Care, Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, January 3, 2010.
He was born April 27, 1923 in Attica, Iowa, the son of Robert M. and Lois (Smith) Hall.
Sam served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. |
Sam married Ruby Nelson on December 14, 1948 in Duluth, Minn.
He had worked as a plumber.
He was a member of the Elks, the American Legion and was a 60 plus year mason.
Sam enjoyed golfing, 1950's band music, dancing, gardening and collecting agates.
Sam is survived by: two sons, John Hall of Burnsville, Minn. and Scott (Marie Dachel) Hall of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Bonnie Jo Kolodge of Duluth, Minn.; 7 grandchildren, Kim Kummer, Mike Kolodge, Briana and Lauren Hall and Kristin, Brian and Nicholas Hall; and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa with Pierschbacher Funeral Home.
