Ruth J. Kammeyer, 76, of 14039 So. Eau Claire Acres, Gordon, Wis., died Monday, December 7, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
She was born July 9, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Ind., the daughter of Kenneth and Menerva (Bibler) Hanes.
Ruth married Walter Kammeyer on October 20, 1951 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She is survived by: her husband, Walter; one son, Tony (Margie) Kammeyer of Pine City, Minn.; two daughters, Carrie (Butch) Hurt of Chippewa Falls and Karen (Glen) Spitzer of Amery, Wis.; one brother, Steve (Sheri) Hanes of Ashland, Wis.; one sister, Cora Lou (Dave) Peters of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one sister-in-law, Carolyn in Fort Wayne, Ind.; and four grandchildren, Matt (Maria) Demmer, John Spitzer, Wensday (John) Tenhover and Leah Hurt.
Ruth was preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Richard Hanes.
A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009 at the VFW in the town of Barnes, Wis. on Friday, December 11, 2009.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Children, grandchildren and friends.
