Neil C. Roder, 84, of 912 Pearl
St., Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.
He was born December 26, 1925 in the town of Anson, the son of
Fritz and Fern (Mattot) Roder.
Neil served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Lynn Hartman on March 30, 1978. They lived together
in their home for many years. He was a resident of Chippewa
Falls since 1970 and was a member of St. Charles Church.
He was a former employee of Walters/Hibernia Brewery in Eau
Claire until his retirement.
Neil is survived by: his wife, Lynn; two children, Richard
(Judy) Roder of Menasha, Wis., and Debra Tegels of Lublin,
Wis.; two stepchildren, Matt Brown of Webster, Wis., and Laura
(George) Olsen of Chippewa Falls; a good pal and fishing
buddy, Jim Roder; two sisters, Irene Lyons of Whitefish, Mont.
and Doris (Vern) Post of Chippewa Falls and one sister-in-law,
Dorothy Roder of Chippewa Falls; many grandchildren, 2 great
grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Dennis
Roder; and one granddaughter, Jessica Joy Tegels. |
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. Rev. William P. Felix will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Hope Mausoleum, Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call one hour before the time of services on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls.
