Clarence P. Rubenzer, 88, a resident of the Chippewa Manor, Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
He was born April 17, 1921 in the town of Tilden, the son of Thomas and Catherine
(Swoboda) Rubenzer.
Clarence married Eileen Eder on November 18, 1944 at St. John's Catholic Church, town of Cooks Valley.
He was a dairy farmer most of his life, a foster grandparent, and a member of Notre Dame Church.
Clarence is survived by: four sons, Mark (Jean) of Weston, Michael G. (Joyce) of Bloomer, Jerry E. (Betty) of Bloomer and Brice (Patrice) of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Rosemary (Duane) Leitzke of Eau Claire, Diane Prince of Bloomer and Rita Jean (William) Swartz of Chippewa Falls; one sister, Clara Hurt of Chippewa Falls; 23 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. |
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Eileen; his parents; four brothers, Albert, Henry, George and Arnold Rubenzer; one sister, Ida Stoffel; and one grandson, Noah John Rubenzer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brian J. Jazdzewski will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 2, and until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
