Larry E. Erickson, 60, of 16112 89th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died Sunday, January 24, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls.
He was born August 21, 1949 in Mondovi, the son of Edward and Betty (Nelson) Erickson.
Larry served in the U.S. Navy.
He married Sally Schmidmayr on March 30, 1974 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls.
He had worked at Berry Plastic Corp. for 27 years, was an avid Packer fan, enjoyed hunting, going out on his boat on Lake Wissota and
Leinenkugels.
Larry was president of the United Steel Workers Local #460 and was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Sally; one son, Bob (Marie) Erickson of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Jamie Erickson of San Diego, Calif.; his mother, Betty Erickson of Chippewa Falls; one sister, Vickie (Ron) Szura of Eau Claire; and three grandchildren, Paige, Hayley and
Brennin.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Edward Erickson. |
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brian J. Jazdzewski will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, and until 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
