Margaret A. Gay, 50, of 2614 Vine St., Eau Claire, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire.
She was born April 9, 1959 in Columbia, South Carolina, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Hyatt) Spence.
Margaret married Charles Edwin Gay on November 21, 2007 at Dentsville Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C.
She is survived by: her husband, Charles; three sons, Kris Maness and Mark Overcash both of Columbia, S.C. and John Overcash of Champaign-Urbana, Ill; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Beck of Big Springs, Texas and Becca (Ben) Laughead of Columbia, S.C.; her mother, Mary Hyatt-Spence of Camden, S.C.; one brother, Jim (Beverly) Spence of West Columbia, S.C.; two sisters, Mary (Rev. Dennis) Moore of North Carolina and Robbie Rush of Camden, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Trinity and Justin Beck.
Margaret was preceded in death by: her father, Clarence Spence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Trinity Baptist Church, 3439 Hester Street, Eau Claire. Rev. Richard Bauer will be officiating. Interment will be in Green Haven Memorial Park NE in Elgin, S.C. at a later date.
Friends may call one hour before the time of services Friday, January 8, at the Trinity Baptist Church, Eau Claire.
The family prefers memorials to American Cancer Society.
